Passionate about helping Children and Youth attain a Better Future

The ReachOut Foundation for Children and Youth Inc (“The ReachOut Foundation” – “TROF”) is a Canada Non-for-profit Corporation, headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area and the name which was derived from the literal meaning of the word “reach out”, which means to reach out, came from the idea behind the organization – to reach out to children, youth and families. Founded by Dr. Christie Okonkwo in 2018, and incorporated in 2019, The ReachOut Foundation is a coalition of professionals providing specialized services focused on creating awareness/ prevention of substance use disorders and mental health promotion in order to empower children and youth for a better future.

The ReachOut Foundation is dedicated to community services for positive social change through the provision of education and prevention of illicit behaviours among children and youth. The organization aims to give back to the community through empowering and educating children and youth against illicit behaviors and providing support for behaviorally-challenged, disenfranchised and less-privileged children, youth, and families struggling with substance use disorders, mental health issues and other socioeconomic challenges.

With a focus on advancing population health, our commitment is to help children and youth attain a better future by bringing hope to those entangled in the web of substance use disorders and mental health problems, thereby improving their social well-being and bringing about positive social change in the community/ society at large. These are embedded in our Core values: Empowerment, Community and Education.
